Mechanical Engineer

Our opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our Denver, NC location.

Responsible for creating and maintaining CAD models, manufacturing blueprints, and assisting other Engineering Team members with hands‑on projects and tasks.

• Creation and management of complex parametric CAD models and assemblies
• Creation of engineering drawings for manufacturing, implementation of GD&T per ASME standards
• Understand and execute design intent for individual projects
• Bill of Materials creation, maintenance, and improvement
• Communicate with/manage a small team of contract engineers as required
• Inspect and report on manufacturing samples from suppliers
• Support/maintenance of existing product lines
• Reverse engineering of existing parts/assemblies including defining surface finish, tolerances, and dimensions

• A workstation with all necessary hardware and software will be provided
• Power and hand tools used intermittently when required by projects
• 3D scanning of small parts, as well as large assemblies

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associate college degree or higher (preferred)
• 2 years of professional engineering/drafting experience (preferred)
• Ability to occasionally lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

• Solid Works – Advanced solid and surface body modelling
• GD&T training and certification (preferred) to meet ASME Y14.5
• Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting/modelling using Solid Works
• Background/Knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance
• Knowledge/experience of manufacturing process such as CNC machining, tube bending and casting
• Knowledge/experience of additive manufacturing
• Understanding of materials science and composition (preferred)
