What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $20.00 - $23.00/hour, based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Key responsibilities of a Utility Worker I on the Cart Maintenance Team includes:
Yard Operations & Inventory Management
- Wash, sanitize, and prepare carts returned by drivers for reintegration into inventory
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on carts returned to the yard
- Manage and track cart inventory to ensure operational readiness
- Support cart exchange operations and staging
- Complete high-priority work orders in the field as assigned
- Provide driver coverage when employees are on leave
- Assist with time-sensitive operational needs to maintain service levels
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Osage yard
- Perform trash collection and general yard upkeep
- Ensure safe, organized storage of carts and materials

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- Experience in solid waste, fleet support, or field maintenance operations
- Experience operating City vehicles or similar work vehicles
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with supervisors and team members
