Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking an organized and driven Driver. Candidates must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record with a DOT card. This individual should work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver and pickup product to and from branches, customers, and suppliers:

* Follow priorities and schedules for delivery as set by warehouse supervisors.

* Ensure that cargo is properly secured and safely load, unload, and otherwise transfer the product.

* Ensure that paperwork is properly completed and filed, including customer signed receiver copies, customer pack list copies, vendor purchase orders, tool repair tags, etc.

* Use RF scanners to indicate that orders are put on the truck or have been delivered.

* Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner using applicable safety equipment.

Vehicle Responsibility:

* Regularly inspect delivery vehicle for repair and maintenance needs

* Keep vehicle clean and free from damage.

* Ensure that applicable logs, insurance and registration cards, and other vehicle documentation is current and accurate.

Decision/Information Sharing and Communication:

* Work well with other warehouse departments, including receiving, shipping, dispatch, and order pulling, to ensure productive and efficient workflow in the warehouse.

* Immediately report safety hazards and expected delivery delays to Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

* This position requires the employee to be seated in a vehicle for extended periods of time.

* Employee must be in good physical condition, as they must frequently climb on top of loads, enter and exit the vehicle, crouch and squat, and load and unload product.

* This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy boxes, products, or other items, up to or more than 50 lbs., and to push up to 80 lbs.

* A current Medical Certificate issued by the Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). required.

Legal, Insurance or Certification Requirements

* A valid driver's license is required, and in some cases a commercial driver's license (CDL) with DOT Medical Certificate

* Background Check:
Criminal, Credit and MVR

Overtime must be authorized/monitored by supervisors but is often required in this position.

Shift requirements vary during some times of the year to accommodate customers.

All positions require passing a mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and background check.

Shift: M-F, 6:30 am - 4:00 pm
