Transportation Supervisor

The Transportation Supervisor will lead a team of drivers and navigators for the new Chick‑fil‑A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Denver, CO. This individual, in collaboration with other leaders, will be responsible for executing safe and effective operations that meet the needs of the organization and its employees.

$89,000 – $98,000 per year + 10 % target incentive.

• Motivate, staff, schedule and support a dynamic team responsible for delivering, transporting, unloading and completing outbound distribution tasks.
• Optimize driver/route assignments and ensure compliance with DOT guidelines regarding routing time and drivers’ hours of service.
• Troubleshoot driver issues during deliveries.
• Conduct restaurant delivery audits to ensure outstanding driver performance and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Process trip reports and other documentation.
• Monitor payroll data to enable effective tracking of expenditure.
• Support budget management of outbound transportation at the DC.
• Establish working relationships with restaurant operators, acting as liaison to balance their needs with operational capabilities.
• Deliver high service levels to operators and achieve KPIs.
• Train and develop a strong team.
• Collaborate with the transportation manager to identify performance improvement areas and recognize team members for outstanding performance.
• Build a culture aligned with Chick‑fil‑A Supply values of care, safety and excellence.
• Collaborate with the DC Leadership Team, CFA Supply Services and various business partners for optimal alignment.
• Complete other activities as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 + years private fleet operations experience.
• Experience with food‑service distribution, including outbound transportation procedures, equipment and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of supply‑chain and warehouse operation innovations.
• Knowledge of safety standards, quality specifications and governmental requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and physically demanding tasks.
• Flexible scheduling: nights (10 p.m.–8 a.m.), weekends, holidays and rotating shifts.

• Exceptional organization, attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict with dignity and respect.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7 + years private fleet operations experience.
• Experience in warehouse operations within a food distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Class A CDL.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory requirements for driver labor scheduling and safety.
• Demonstrated success in operations and people leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access; experience with ERP, WMS and TMS solutions.
