Coaches help athletes to play their best individually or as a team in sports such as football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis, and golf.

• Teach fundamental and advanced athletic skills to athletes to prepare them for competition.
• Be knowledgeable about sports equipment, physical fitness, and safety.
• Become an expert on rules, strategies, and techniques for the sport.
• Support the coordination and recruitment of student participants.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain one prior to coaching (online CPR not accepted).
• Teacher Certification is preferred.
• Completion of CHSAA coaching registration.
• Previous coaching experience or experience working with urban youth or teaching (preferred but not required).
• Commitment to racial and educational equity and supporting all students.
• Living and working in Colorado with a permanent home address.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position with or without accommodations.
