Senior Software Engineer

Job Duties

Create and support enterprise software solutions both web and mobile applications by maintaining and supporting existing SaaS products with enterprise clients. Assist with evolving current products and platforms to customize cloud infrastructure for stability. Develop information systems by studying operations. Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas;

and following the software development lifecycle. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Perform in depth analysis of task specifications, as well as assist in task grooming sessions which identify new specifications. Review, suggest, and implement improvements for all application areas.

Refactor legacy applications to current generation standards using pragmatic approach. Communicate directly with internal business customers and partners, gather requirements, and provide project status updates. Test programs and work closely with quality assurance teams.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field, plus 3 years experience in a software engineering, software developer or related role. Must have 3 years of experience with: JSP; AJAX; jQuery;
Spring Framework;
Struts2; application servers; JDBC and ORM tools (Hibernate and JPA);
Maven to create build scripts;
Java 8 or above;
MySQL;
Tomcat;
Android and iOS mobile development; AWS; web strategy and technologies including EC2, Code Pipeline, Code Build, Cloud formation, IAM, AWS Batch, and Amazon Event Bridge; and GIT source control and branching models for coding. Telecommuting is permissible.
