ROLEOVERVIEW
The Front-End Engineer II is responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-quality front-end systems. This role operates with growing independence and partners closely with senior engineers on architecture, design systems, and performance. You will own meaningful portions of the UI, contribute to shared systems, and help elevate engineering quality across projects including the use of new approved AI tools. Experience with Angular is a requirement and a willingness to learn paramount.
Success in the role will include mastery of the existing technical environment and a strong desire to improve the way we do things.
- Build and maintain complex UI components using React, Angular, or similar frameworks
- Contribute to component libraries and design systems used across products
- Ensure high standards for performance, accessibility, and responsiveness
- Debug, optimize, and refactor front‑end codebases
- Work closely with designers to refine interactions and visual execution
- Uphold consistency across product experiences
- Partner with product managers to clarify requirements and scope
- Collaborate with backend engineers on data integration and APIs
- Participate actively in code reviews and technical discussions
- Support sprint planning and delivery commitments
- Mentor Front‑End Engineer I team members
- Share best practices and contribute to team standards
- Grow toward architectural ownership and leadership
- Identify and pilot opportunities for AI innovation
- 3–5 years of front‑end development experience
- Solid understanding of component-based architecture and design frameworks
- Experience with accessibility, performance optimization, and responsive design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
