Here’sWhat You’ll Do Day‑to‑day
- Solution Architecture & Design
- Provide architectural oversight and strategic guidance for all Revenue business systems projects, ensuring solutions alignment with long‑term business objectives.
- Design comprehensive solutions by translating complex business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and clear acceptance criteria.
- Maintain a deep understanding of technical architecture across multiple domains and coding implications to effectively guide development teams and inform design decisions.
- Custom Development & Integration
- Hands‑on develop, test and deploy end‑to‑end solutions on the Salesforce platform, primarily leveraging Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
- Implement and manage seamless integrations between internal business systems and external applications using REST APIs.
- Lead the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Analysis
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating discussions to gather, define, and refine project requirements.
- Lead requirement‑gathering sessions and workshops to elicit detailed needs and propose viable, scalable solutions on the business system platforms.
- Quality Assurance & Process Management
- Uphold highest development standards by actively participating in peer code reviews and ensuring strict adherence to established best practices and deployment protocols.
- System Maintenance & Optimization
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues and performance flaws to ensure high availability and efficiency of revenue systems.
What We Are Looking For
- Expert knowledge of Salesforce systems architecture and design patterns.
- Deep knowledge and experience with Salesforce's suite of products across all SDLC phases.
- Good experience with 3rd party connected applications, system design and build.
- Strong proficiency with Platform skills like Apex, Flows, Lightning, UI (LWC/Visualforce), SOQL, Unit Testing etc.
- Thorough understanding of SaaS data models, design considerations and connected web services.
- Good understanding of Salesforce DX, source‑driven development using Git/Git Hub or similar version control system, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery as part of Dev Ops process.
- 8+ years of experience building custom solutions on Salesforce.
- 5+ years of experience integrating business applications using platforms like Mulesoft, Snaplogic, Workato etc and APIs.
- 3+ years of mentoring and training junior developers and administrators.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, and/or Salesforce Certified System Architect (or equivalent) are highly preferred.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science/Math or equivalent practical experience.
- Passionate about helping small business owners and converting pain points into solutions.
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $200,000‑230,000 for San Francisco and $165,000‑190,000 for Denver. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Office/Remote PolicyGusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2‑3 days per week (or more depending on role).
