What you’ll own as the Senior Full Stack Software Engineer:

Worldpay Cloud Data Platform team provides World Pay Big Data capabilities including large scale data processing, analytics, fraud platforms, machine learning engineering, stream processing and data insights. Worldpay Cloud Data Platform team helps maintain and advance cloud data platforms and services to build data products powering our business services and customers.

• As a UI Developer, you will be responsible for coding, testing and analyzing application software, supporting existing products and business applications.
• Conduct usability testing to identify and fix UI issues and gather real-world intelligence from target users.
• Collaborate with business and IT decision makers to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm UI ideas.
• Use responsive web design to create applications that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes/devices.
• Develop the aesthetics implemented within a website or product, including layout menus, dropdowns, colors and fonts.
• Keep up with the latest trends and best practices of UI/UX design and human-computer interaction.
• Use visual aids such as wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts to plan and present UI designs.
• Apply SEO principles to develop search-friendly websites and interfaces.
• Work closely with other Development and QA team members to improve usability.
• Adhere to SDLC and development processes, coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot various products and business applications in production as needed.
• Attend overnight releases, when needed.
• Aim for operational excellence by automating processes and writing maintainable, supportable, and testable code.
• Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

What You’ll Bring:

• About 8 years of experience in software development methodologies and best practices.
• 5+ years of experience in building web services in SOAP and/or REST using Java, Spring/Spring Boot.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry or AWS, or container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience collaborating using Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Solid experience with Git, Git Hub and Dev Ops tools like Jenkins and Nexus repository.
• Fluent in complex SQL; experience with DB2, Oracle or SQL Server preferred.
• Experience with data streaming (e.g., Kafka), data messaging and event-driven systems.
• Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as CI/CD, TDD, BDD, Dev Ops, and automation.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
