** What We Offer
** The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The budgeted salary range for this position is $62,000 - $70,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:
* A guaranteed life-long monthly pension, once vested after 5 years of service

* 140 hours of PTO earned within first year + 11 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday and 1 volunteer day per year

** Location
* * The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work 4pm-12am Monday – Friday. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
** What You’ll Do

Our employees help children, at-risk adults, families, and individuals navigate social and economic pressures by connecting them to services and experts who support their overall well-being.
** ERT Social Case Worker responsibilities:
*** Operation Hours 4:00pm-Midnight
* Serves as the initial point of contact for individuals making reports of abuse and/or neglect to the Department. Compiles comprehensive reports detailing reported abuse or neglect allegations of children from a wide variety of community members. ERT workers utilize critical thinking skills to determine if the information provided consists of an immediate safety threat
* Responds primarily to emergency situations involving children in high-risk situations which may result in out of home placement or ongoing intervention by the Department
* Works with families in crisis and helps coordinate crisis intervention services and deescalating potentially volatile situations
* Assessing for safety and investigating assessments involving child fatalities and egregious harm to children
* Support caseworkers with removals, assessment and case needs in the evening hours
* Partnerships with Denver Police Department, Denver Health and other medical facilities

* Must be able to work afternoon and swing shifts
* Strong self- starter and developed organizational skills
* Certified by the Colorado Child Welfare Academy

Minimum Qualifications
*** Education requirement:
Requirements as set forth in Colorado Department of Human Services Volume 7 and/or Volume 30 regulations.  Bachelor's Degree from a higher education institution with course work related to the job responsibilities of child welfare or adult protective services social caseworker. Course work examples can include and are not limited to, the development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures, social work, sociology, psychology, psychiatry, gerontology, nursing, special education, guidance and counseling, criminal justice, or other human behavioral sciences or therapeutic techniques
* Experience Requirement:
Professional, internship, or volunteer work experience in a human services related agency, as required by Colorado Department of Human Services Volume 7 and/or…
