Salary: $54,400-$68,000, non-exempt - this position is grant funded

Benefits: FLY Covers 75% of medical, dental, and vision insurance, 35% of dependents. FLY also provides a monthly stipend to FTE who work in the community setting.

Overview

Qualifications and Requirements

Preferred:

  • Bilingual Proficiency (Spanish)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a community-based or outpatient setting.

Required:

  • Demonstrates a high level of independence and flexibility to manage caseload effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a working and growing knowledge of the juvenile justice system
  • Have a working and growing knowledge of young people who have experienced trauma, oppression, and/or gang-involvement
  • Cultural humility and experience working with diverse populations, including but not limited to, individuals from different ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, and LGBTQ+ backgrounds.
  • Candidates must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Candidate (LCSW-C), or be in the process of accruing hours for a therapeutic-based license (LPCC).

To ensure the safety of the youth we serve, all employees are required to complete a comprehensive background check. Due to the nature of our work in different locations, this includes background checks required by the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) for community-based positions, and additional checks mandated by the judicial districts in which our services are provided.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Conduct initial evaluations to determine client needs.
  • Develop individualized, strengths-based treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other care providers.
  • Provide a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation support to clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with schools, social services, and other community partners to coordinate client care.
  • Facilitate psycho educational workshops to FLY staff and other partners on topics such as grief, stress management, emotional regulation, and coping skills.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Advocate for client needs and help them navigate court-mandated and system requirements, community resources and support systems.
  • Uphold professional boundaries and a high degree of ethical conduct in all interactions.
Work Environment and Conditions

This is a full-time position. Work is primarily performed in community settings, including client homes, schools, and other third spaces. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
