  • Salary: $65,000–$83,000 plus relocation stipend
  • Status: Full‑time, in‑person
  • Start date: End of July (new staff training)
Key

Roles & Responsibilities

Our School Social Workers (SSWs) and School Psychologists (SPs) play an integral role in ensuring student success by providing triaged direct counseling services, leading crisis intervention, supporting adult development, and collaborating to build a strong school culture.

Supporting Students with IEPs & 504
  • Complete evaluations and write assessment reports for students who may have obstacles due to social‑emotional impact
  • Create IEPs & 504s that address root causes with goals and services to support growth
  • Progress‑monitor direct and indirect services to ensure effectiveness and adjust as needed
Crisis Response
  • Lead immediate crisis response using evidence‑based protocols for suicidality, self‑harm, and threats to others
  • Develop post‑vention plans that include direct and indirect supports for students after a crisis
  • Collaborate with culture leaders to ensure safety and support plans are implemented with fidelity
Follow Your Passion Opportunities
  • Support the school’s attendance system by developing attendance plans and partnering with community organizations
  • Deliver professional development and coaching for staff on trauma‑informed practices and social‑emotional learning
  • Provide family support through resource sharing, trainings, and consistent communication
  • Lead Social‑Emotional Learning for the whole school; including direct services for students to support achievement
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s in Social Work or enrollment in an MSW program
  • Belief that all students can succeed and reach post‑secondary goals
  • Desire to grow as an anti‑racist educator
  • Self‑awareness, regular reflection, and commitment to continuous improvement
Ideal Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Spanish
  • Training and experience in restorative and trauma‑informed approaches
  • Experience working with English Learners
  • Demonstrated success partnering with students of color and students with varied abilities
