OverviewOur O&M Apprentice Electricians perform regular maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and small utility solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Our O&M team focuses on being the premier solar O&M in Colorado by providing best‑in‑class customer service and the technical expertise required to keep systems online and running efficiently. This role works with licensed Journey worker Electricians to install both the electrical AC and DC portions of our projects.
Namaste Solar supports and helps pay for apprenticeship training in the four‑year apprentice program with IECRM (Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain). This training is a requirement for the position.
- Perform electrical and mechanical service work on commercial and small utility solar PV installations in Colorado.
- Complete routine preventative maintenance and testing.
- Troubleshoot and repair solar PV system components efficiently and safely.
- Install and repair remote communication systems.
- Initiate and facilitate equipment warranty claims and vendor RMA processes.
- Communicate with customers via emails and phone calls.
- Monitor and maintain stock of spare parts.
- Track and report materials and equipment expenses.
- Occasionally provide on‑call coverage one weekend day.
- Enroll in four‑year apprenticeship educational training program.
- Maintain a clean driving record and meet our insurance carrier's qualifications.

- Professional and timely communication style.
- A background in solar PV, electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Physical demands: standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; talking and hearing. Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Driving to site locations required.
- Work environment: noise level usually moderate. Outdoor work on ground and roofs with infrequent warehouse/office activities. Exposure to dangerous electrical gear, wiring and other construction‑related hazards possible. Temperature outside varies from hot to cold. Exposure to adverse weather (rain, snow, wind) possible.
- Travel: daily travel from home to jobsite required. Travel to project locations requiring overnight lodging (travel/lodging per diem included) may be required at times.
