Job DetailsWe are seeking a seasoned Senior HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be an expert in commercial HVAC systems, preventative maintenance, chillers and boilers, screw chillers, and troubleshooting. This is a permanent position, offering an incredible opportunity to work with a talented team on diverse and exciting construction projects. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC field and must be an EPA Certified HVAC Technician.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and industrial customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics, determining the optimal location for installation, and ensuring the system meets the project specifications and building codes.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs; service and repair evaporative coolers.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, boilers, and screw chillers, ensuring they operate at maximum efficiency.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all HVAC equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate with clients, providing advice on necessary repairs and preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Keep records of all work activities, including all procurement of parts and equipment necessary for the tasks.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician in the construction industry, specifically with commercial HVAC systems.
- EPA Certification as an HVAC Technician.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with preventative maintenance, chillers and boilers, screw chillers, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of HVAC operations, including knowledge of latest HVAC systems and technological trends.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to carry heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
