Commercial Painter; Nights

Mark Young Construction, LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for Commercial Painters to join us as we continue to grow! Painters works closely with Owners, Owner Management, Superintendents, Engineers, and others on his/her team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stains, and specialized coatings to the interior and exterior of commercial structures (offices, retail spaces, warehouses, and industrial complexes).

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, follows strict safety guidelines, and can work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Must be able to work both days and nights

• Surface Preparation:
  Scrape, sand, power wash, and patch surfaces. Fill holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, or plaster.
• Application:
  Apply various finishes using brushes, rollers, and professional spray equipment (airless/HVAC).
• Specialized Coatings:
  Apply epoxy floor coatings, waterproof sealants, and fire-retardant paints as specified by the project.
• Equipment Operation:
  Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and motorized lifts (scissor or boom lifts) to reach high areas.
• Site Protection:
  Ensure all furniture, flooring, and non-painted surfaces are meticulously covered and protected.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work alongside other trades and communicate effectively with site managers to ensure project flow.

• Technical Proficiency:
  Proven experience with commercial-grade paints and application techniques.
• Physical Stamina:
  Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Safety Mindset:
  Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and experience using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Attention to Detail:
  Ability to achieve clean lines and uniform finishes on large-scale surfaces.
• Reliability:
  Punctual and able to adapt to varying schedules.

• Salary: $20 - $30 an hour (DOE) plus bonus and an additional $65 per night premium when working nights
