Compensation Range: 46, plus bonus

Job Purpose

Ener Sys is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician I to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site service, maintenance, and repair for our diverse range of products and equipment at customer locations. If you are a customer-oriented individual with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for problem-solving, we encourage you to apply!

You will specialize in our Energy Systems solutions, providing support to customers who rely on our products for essential services like telecommunications, data centers, emergency power, and more. This includes maintaining and servicing uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), switch gear, and other critical equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Field Service Expertise:
    • Shadow experienced technician on service calls.
    • Perform basic equipment checks.
    • Travel to customer sites to assist with installation and repair of equipment.
    • Under supervision, perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
  • Customer Focus:
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service.
    • Effectively communicate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and service delivery.
    • Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO
      9000 standards.
    • Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Complete all required safety and compliance training.
  • Administration and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions.
    • Complete timely reports, including service reports, expense reports, and quality alerts as directed.
    • Manage company assets, including a service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6-12 months of experience in field service or a related role, preferably in the electrical field.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Desirable

Skills:

  • Familiarity with electrical systems and schematics.
