Position OverviewReporting to the Service Supervisor and Service Manager, this role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate is experienced, motivated, and ready to take ownership of their work while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including built-up systems, package units, boilers, chillers, and control systems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on various HVAC systems
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providing accurate explanations of issues and solutions
- Follow troubleshooting guides to identify problems efficiently
- Ensure systems meet safety and operational standards before completing service
- Mentor junior technicians both in person and over the phone
- Assist in coordinating and managing ongoing service projects
- Complete daily service reports accurately and obtain customer signatures
- Stay current with technical knowledge through ongoing training and self-study
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and adhere to scheduled maintenance
- Minimum of 7 years of commercial HVAC experience
- Universal EPA Certification required
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of HVAC systems
- Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, pneumatic and digital controls
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or degree preferred
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Team‑oriented with a desire to grow and support others
