Denver Country Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Golf Services Attendant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service for our guests. The golf services staff works closely with the Head Golf Professional and the Assistant Golf Professionals on the outside golf operations to assure an exceptional experience for members and their guests.

Primary responsibility falls on service to members, efficiency of bag loading onto carts, cleanliness, staging, and storing. The employee must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service. Must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Club and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. All staff must be neat and well‑groomed.

This position requires a highly self‑motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision.

Founded in 1887, the Denver Country Club is the oldest club west of the Mississippi and has been in Cherry Creek since 1901. The golf course has been shaped by renowned architects including Donald Ross, A.W. Tillinghast, Bill Coore, and Gil Hanse. The Club has hosted prestigious events such as the Trans‑Mississippi Amateur, PGA Tour events, and USGA Qualifiers. Beyond golf, members enjoy tennis, swimming, ice skating, and both casual and formal dining.

With over 800 members—600 of whom have golf privileges—the Club averages 24,000 rounds annually. The strong caddie program includes more than 30 caddies, many of whom have earned Evans Scholarships.

Experience Required
  • Prior experience in a similar role or strong knowledge of golf
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail and reliability
Responsibilities
  • Provide members and their guests with a quality and consistent golf experience, exemplifying a standard of excellence within all duties performed
  • Bag Room: prepare golf clubs prior to members arrival for play or practice; clean golf clubs thoroughly after use; maintain a presentable bag room by keeping organized and vacuumed; maintain records of guest clubs
  • Golf Carts: prepare golf carts prior to members arrival for play or practice; staging (parking) and stocking with tees, towels, scorecards, pencils and sand mix; maintain cleanliness of golf carts by washing carts at completion of use; responsible for all golf carts getting charged after use; detail carts (extra shine) on a schedule determined by manager
  • Practice Range: daily set‑up of practice tee and short game areas; maintain supply of practice balls throughout the day; maintain practice bunkers throughout the day; pick up practice balls and wash balls throughout the day; interact with membership and guests in a respectful and courteous way; pick‑up broken tees – nightly; charge Robotic Range Picker nightly; clean Range Picker nightly; gas Range Picker weekly
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Golf Services Manager
Requirements
  • Must have the ability to lift 30 plus pounds
  • Neat, professional appearance
  • An outgoing personality - must be comfortable approaching, greeting, and conversing with members, guests and co‑workers
