POSITION OVERVIEW:
The installer will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing acoustical ceiling tiles and grid systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. The ideal candidate has experience with suspended ceiling systems, a strong understanding of construction safety practices, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Measure and mark ceiling layout based on blueprints and specifications.
* Install metal grid systems for suspended ceilings using hand and power tools.
* Cut ceiling tiles to fit around lights, vents, and other fixtures.
* Secure tiles in place and ensure alignment and levelness.
* Inspect completed work for quality and compliance with building codes.
* Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines. In this position you will have:
* Able to E-Verify
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Proven experience as an acoustical ceiling installer or similar role.
* Experience using stilts for installation.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Proficient in using tools:
Utility knife, laser level, tape measure, chalk line, tin snips, rivet gun and specialized tools:
Grid punch, metal-cutting saw, aviation snips.
* Knowledge of installation standards:
Understanding ASTM Standard C-636for the installation of ceiling components is important.
* Physical stamina and ability to work at heights.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
* Have a knowledge of /experience with job safety protocols.
* Have current certification for MEWPS and Scaffold Competent Operator.
* Have a reputation for high standards of integrity and professionalism.
* Possess a strong work ethic and follow-through on all job responsibilities.
* Be able to read and understand construction documents in English.
* Be able to meet the rigorous physical requirements of commercial construction/drywall to include lifting heavy objects, stand/bend/stoop and climb ladders on a continuous basis In return you will enjoy: *
