The Fuel Foreman is responsible for leading crews in the installation and repair of fuel tanks and dispensing systems. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. The Fuel Foreman will serve as the on-site leader, coordinating with subcontractors, project managers, and construction managers while mentoring technicians in the field.
This position requires significant travel to job sites across the U.S. (home weekends), including work on military bases. It’s an opportunity to advance your career in a highly specialized, growing industry.
Fuel Foreman Responsibilities- Supervise and direct daily activities of field technicians and subcontractors on fuel system projects.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of petroleum distribution systems (UST/AST, dispensers, piping).
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and petroleum industry regulations.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Perform hands‑on technical work when needed (troubleshooting, repairs, and installation support).
- Maintain detailed daily reports on project progress, labor, and equipment usage.
- Train and mentor technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fuel systems, petroleum equipment, or industrial construction.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role (Lead Tech, Crew Lead, or Foreman).
- Strong knowledge of UST/AST installation, piping, and fueling equipment.
- Ability to travel up to 95% of the time (home weekends).
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain Government Security Clearance.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in all weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- UST Installer Certification, 6G Welding Certificate, or other relevant fuel system licenses.
- Prior experience leading crews on government or military fuel projects.
