Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, estimate, engineer, and configure enterprise-level electronic security systems with minimal supervision
• Provide technical guidance to sales and project teams on optimal system design, products, and solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and coordinate on bid and construction projects
• Create and review technical documentation, including schematics, drawings, and supporting materials
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals using web-based estimating and quoting tools
• Respond to customer inquiries, including RFI and RFP submissions, in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Technical school training or military experience in electronics, communications, or related fields (preferred)

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience designing and estimating commercial security systems, including access control, IP-based video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems
• Minimum 2 years of field experience installing, servicing, or supporting access control, IP-based video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems
• Process-oriented with strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience reading blueprints, construction documents, and engineering drawings related to automation, alarm, and security systems
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems to customer satisfaction

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
