Fire Alarm Technician (Entry level)
Western States Fire Protection is looking for an entry level Fire Alarm Technician. If you have a strong work ethic and integrity we want you on our team. The candidate should be outgoing, highly self-motivated, and able to problem solve. They will have strong communication skills, a professional image and the ability to learn all aspects of a project from install to programming, strong troubleshooting skills, and service work.
The pay range for this position is $19-35 per hour depending on years of experience and licenses.
Job Responsibilities
- Site verifications of fire alarm installations
- Analysis of blue prints
- Coordination with other disciplines, engineers, general contractors and end users
- Interact with clients, field personnel and Fire Marshals
- Installation of fire alarm equipment
Job Qualifications
- NICET I certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year
- CSA or willingness to obtain within 1 year
- OSHA 30 is a plus
- Manufacturers certificates are preferred
- Install experience is preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a group/training environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of expenses and schedules
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel within the state of Colorado
- Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
