Wage: $25.00/HR Available

Mon - Fri: 7AM - 3

PMMon - Fri: 7:30AM - 3:30PM  Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Prior experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement preferred. At a minimum, must be able to speak to gun safety and responsibilities as well as successfully complete assessments and shooting qualification.

What Your Day May Look Like:

Patrols assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.

Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required.

Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.

Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities. Monitors surveillance cameras.

Position Requirements :21 years of age or older. High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.

Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.

Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus!!

Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.

Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.

All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Must have prior experience in an armed role - (security, military, or law enforcement).Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification.

Must have a reliable personal vehicle.

Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular)
Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic

Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication

Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner

Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift

Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.

Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
