RISCO Power specializes in the design, planning, and installation of energy generation and storage infrastructure tailored for residential and commercial applications. We are focused on filling gaps created by an ever-changing energy landscape impacted by Data Center development, and overall growing energy use. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Denver, CO for a Business Development Manager. The individual in this position will identify and develop business opportunities, build relationships with clients, and drive revenue growth. Responsibilities include conducting market research, creating business strategies, managing partnerships, and leading a team focused on developing a sales pipeline.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Business Development, Market Research, and Strategic Planning
  • Strong skills in Client Relationship Management, Negotiation, and Networking
  • Experience with Sales, Lead Generation, and Revenue Growth
  • Understanding of the renewable energy industry, particularly photovoltaic solar systems, is advantageous
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, on-site environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Train and Mentor Sales Representatives: Provide ongoing training to sales staff and canvassers on product knowledge, consultative selling techniques, objection handling, and emerging electrification technologies to ensure the team can confidently educate homeowners and close deals.
  • Conduct In-Home and Virtual Energy Consultations: Meet with prospective clients to evaluate their energy needs and present customized solutions involving solar, battery storage, generators, EV charging, and electrification upgrades. Educate homeowners on system benefits, incentives, and financing options while guiding them through the decision process.
  • Lead and Develop the Canvassing Team: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing canvassing team responsible for door-to-door lead generation. Establish clear performance metrics, provide ongoing coaching, and implement scripts and strategies that maximize homeowner engagement and qualified appointments.
  • Design and Execute Targeted Sales Campaigns: Plan and manage sales campaigns focused on specific customer segments such as homeowners interested in backup power, EV ownership, energy independence, or electrification upgrades. Coordinate messaging, outreach channels, and timelines to generate consistent, high-quality leads.
  • Manage Trade Shows and Community Outreach Events: Organize and oversee the company’s participation in trade shows, home shows, and community events. This includes booth design, staffing, lead capture systems, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up strategies to convert event leads into consultations and sales.
  • Optimize Sales Processes and Conversion Systems: Develop and continuously improve the company’s sales pipeline—from lead generation through closing. Implement CRM workflows, track conversion metrics, refine scripts, and identify process improvements that increase efficiency and close rates.
  • Analyze Market Opportunities and Drive Growth Initiatives: Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and outreach channels that expand the company’s residential customer base. Monitor competitor activity, incentive programs, and industry trends to guide business development strategy.
Compensation
  • Base Salary + Commission
  • Estimated $90,000 - $130,000 / year
