Description
- Develop and execute a comprehensive pre-opening sales and marketing plan
- Identify and secure foundational corporate, negotiated, and group accounts prior to opening
- Conduct competitive analysis and market segmentation strategy
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to establish rate strategy and positioning Business Development & Account Management
- Proactively prospect and close new business across corporate, group, SMERF, and local segments
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, chambers, CVB, and community influencers
- Maintain an active and organized sales pipeline Brand Alignment & Positioning
- Position the hotel in alignment with AC’s core pillars: modern design, elevated beverage & tapas, and experiential guest service
- Partner with marketing to develop digital presence, social strategy, and promotional materials
- Assist in coordinating grand opening events and VIP preview stays
- Represent the hotel at networking and industry events Revenue & Reporting
- Achieve pre-opening booking pace and ramp-up targets
- Prepare weekly sales activity reports and production tracking
- Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor STR reports and competitive set performance
- 3+ years hotel sales experience (Marriott experience strongly preferred)
- New hotel opening experience highly desirable
- Proven success in corporate negotiated and group sales
- Strong understanding of Marriott sales platforms and brand standards
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and networking skills
- Self-starter with the ability to build market share from the ground up
- Strong relationship builder
- Polished and professional presence
- Strategic thinker with strong closing skills
- Highly organized and results-driven
