As an Account Executive you will lead the sale of Axon’s Real Time Awareness product portfolio—including drones, counter‑drone solutions, Drone as First Responder (DFR), and Fusus—to state Department of Corrections agencies. Partnering closely with Key Account Leaders and the broader Axon sales organization, you’ll drive complex, high‑impact engagements that help corrections agencies deploy aerial technology to enhance security, situational awareness, and operational efficiency.
In this role, you’ll act as a strategic advisor to senior corrections leaders, manage critical internal and external partnerships (including key technology partners), and translate sophisticated technical solutions into clear, mission‑aligned value. This is a field‑based, highly autonomous role that blends technical expertise, relationship‑building, and strategic selling to help scale one of Axon’s most important growth initiatives within the corrections market.

Location: Remote in territory, must live within 1 hour of a major airport
Territory: West - Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Alaska, Hawaii, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota
Travel: 60% minimum
Reports to: Director of Sales
- You develop a deep technical understanding of Axon’s Air products and technology offerings to sell into domestic law enforcement agencies throughout your territory.
- You partner with the broader Axon sales team as a functional expert on the Air program, to sell Air as a specific offering.
- You leverage Google alerts, RFP requests, and other sources to generate leads and pursue opportunities.
- You are customer‑centric—knowing the customer's business and workflows, developing a proper contact network within assigned accounts, and establishing relationships to drive overall customer happiness.
- You develop and execute account strategy by collaborating with the team to deliver stronger and more impactful value propositions.
- You make forecast predictions, update management of accounts in a timely fashion, collect intelligence on competitor activity, and give feedback to marketing for continual improvement.
- You track customer activity in Salesforce and other internal systems to execute on account strategy and identify additional opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent applicable experience.
- 5+ years in a SaaS Account Executive role.
- Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience.
- Highly proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Prominent organization and presentation skills.
- Willing to travel 60% or more within your territory.
- Strong understanding of drones, cloud, and virtualization technology.
- Able to strategically approach and win accounts as well as continue to grow or expand existing accounts.

- Focus on a solutions‑consultative sales process to ensure the right fit and long‑term success with customers.
- End‑to‑end sales process experience, especially strong in prospecting, discovery, objection handling, and closing accounts.
- Ready to own and build a multi‑state territory to success.

- Startup experience and some vertical experience is a plus.
