Sales Manager, Theatrical Distribution

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a passionate and results‑driven Sales Manager to join our growing team. This position will directly report to the General Sales Manager for Theatrical Sales Department at the studio. In this role, you will support the distribution and release strategy for our films across North American exhibitors. You will work closely with theatrical partners, internal stakeholders, and the broader distribution team to help optimize theatrical placement, execute release plans, and maximize box office revenue.

This role requires a strong understanding of theatrical exhibition, excellent communication skills, and a passion for movies. You will assist in the daily execution of theatrical sales operations, including film placement within US marketplace, in‑theatre marketing support, accounts receivable and box office performance tracking.

• Ownership and knowledge of assigned booking territory in the US marketplace.
• Assist with release goals, market analysis, and exhibitor outreach.
• Help develop regional booking strategies and maintain exhibitor relationships.
• Negotiate booking terms with exhibition partners.
• Maximize box‑office returns in assigned territory with strategic bookings and weekly holdovers.
• Utilize distribution software (TDS and Com Score).
• Maintain a healthy A/R within territory.

• Experience in sales.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel.
• Experience in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and draw insights from data to inform decision‑making processes.

• Experience in movies & TV distribution/licensing.
