Job DescriptionThe Neuroscience Sales Representative is accountable for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned territory while operating ethically and in compliance with company policies. The role requires strong disease‑state knowledge to engage healthcare professionals in in‑depth clinical dialogue, create and implement local strategic and tactical plans, and manage budgets effectively. You will work with key internal and external stakeholders to drive business outcomes and ensure timely administrative reporting.
Job Responsibilities- Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned territory, calling on primary care HCP offices and selected principal component targets both in‑person and virtually.
- Develop superior product and disease‑state knowledge to educate and engage healthcare professionals regarding clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles.
- Use assigned budgets strategically to achieve territory objectives while customizing interactions to customer needs in a compliant manner.
- Operate independently with sales proficiency to ensure forecasts and budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territorial expectations.
- Maintain current understanding of the local market and share insights with Intra‑Cellular stakeholders.
- Contribute to resource allocation decisions and identify appropriate programs for each customer, practice, and system.
- Provide special education to healthcare providers through programs within ITCI’s ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with the District Manager and stakeholders to develop a local business plan and implement strategic initiatives.
- Share best practices with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists.
- Maintain accurate administrative records—including work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, and expense reporting.
- Complete all company and job‑related training in a timely manner.
- Adapt to evolving environments, including telemedicine and virtual engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
- Minimum 1 year demonstrated success in B2B sales; experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical device sales preferred.
- Experience in antipsychotic, bi‑polar, or related neuroscience sales is a plus.
- Strong passion for improving patient and caregiver outcomes; patient‑centric mindset.
- High integrity and adherence to company compliance policies.
- Self‑motivation, initiative, and entrepreneurial drive; excellent decision‑making and collaboration skills.
- Track record of learning and adapting to changing circumstances.
- Ability to analyze data/metrics and identify opportunities.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills.
- Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel and flexible working hours.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Annual base salary range: $79,000 – $130,000. Eligible for company‑sponsored benefits and 401(k) retirement plan.
