Position SummaryVeil Sun is seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive to expand our presence within the construction and Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) vertical. This role requires deep expertise in the construction industry, including its structure, market dynamics, key decision-makers, and the realities of how sales get done in highly relationship-driven environments.
This role is ideal for a driven, highly organized, consultative sales professional who thrives in outbound prospecting, relationship development, and selling complex, custom software solutions. You will be responsible for developing new client relationships, qualifying and closing opportunities, and serving as a trusted advisor to construction leaders evaluating technology solutions.
You will work closely with Solution Engineers and delivery leadership to ensure radical alignment between client needs and Veil Sun’s capabilities, ultimately driving long-term value and successful client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute an outbound prospecting strategy to acquire new construction and AEC clients
- Qualify and advance inbound construction and AEC industry leads using a consultative, value-driven approach
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and decision-makers
- Drive complex, multi-stakeholder sales engagements in highly complex environments, building alignment and momentum from initial discovery through close
- Collaborate with Solution Engineers to shape tailored, compelling solutions
- Manage and forecast pipeline activity accurately in our CRM platform (Hub Spot)
- Maintain strong sales hygiene and disciplined CRM practices
- Stay current on Veil Sun’s offerings, low-code platforms, AI technologies and tools, and emerging construction technology trends
- Report directly to the VP of Sales and contribute to broader sales strategy
- Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned by Veil Sun leadership
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience
- 1+ years selling custom software, technical platforms, or professional services (not off-the-shelf products)
- 3+ years selling into construction or AEC accounts
- Proven success in outbound prospecting and new business development
- Strong discovery, qualification, and consultative selling skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
- Hands‑on construction or construction operations experience, paired with a deep, expert-level understanding of construction processes and workflows
- Experience selling construction‑focused software or technical solutions
- Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk, or similar construction platforms
- Technical or construction-related education (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering)
- Formal sales methodology training (Challenger, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, Sandler, or similar)
- Experience with account-based selling or marketing strategies
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $100,000–$120,000, depending on experience, with on‑target earnings (OTE) of $200,000–$240,000
