Senior Account Executive – Utilities
REMOTE | 50% Travel to customer meetings, trade shows, and other events
Position OverviewOur client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Account Executive with a proven track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities while expanding and deepening relationships within an existing customer base. The ideal candidate excels at uncovering client challenges, developing tailored strategies for each account, and aligning customer needs with Our Client’s solutions. This role requires a dynamic professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and value.
The Senior Account Executive will manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and lead generation through closing and long‑term account management. Success in this role requires effective collaboration with cross‑functional partners including Solutions Engineers, Product Owners, Delivery teams, and Development teams. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales. The successful candidate will work remotely and be responsible for clients across North America.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and assess customer needs.
- Actively pursue new business through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach to expand the book of business.
- Schedule meetings with prospective clients to conduct discovery, understand pain points, and identify business goals.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services in collaboration with the broader sales and product teams.
- Create regular reports and reviews with sales and financial data.
- Ensure availability of necessary materials for sales demonstrations.
- Represent Our Client at industry exhibitions or conferences.
- Negotiate and close deals; address customer concerns, complaints, or objections.
- Collaborate with team members to improve overall results.
- Gather and share customer feedback with internal teams.
- Proven experience as a Senior Account Executive, Senior Account Manager, or similar role.
- Knowledge of Utility IOU CAPEX/OPEX and Transmission & Distribution for Electric and Gas.
- Understanding of AEC solutions supporting Utility Transmission and Distribution projects.
- Proficiency in English.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
- Solid understanding of marketing and negotiation techniques.
- Fast learner with a passion for sales.
- Self‑motivated and results‑driven.
- Strong presentation delivery skills.
- Effective project management abilities with the capacity to manage a book of business and multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Expected annual on‑target earnings (OTE) range from $175,000 to $200,000 (base + commission), depending on performance. Commissions are uncapped, allowing top performers to earn $200,000+.
