Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 0813)
Game Stop is looking for an energetic and customer‑focused assistant store manager to support store operations, build a high‑performing team, and deliver outstanding guest experiences. The role works independently with minimal supervision and reports to the store manager.
Responsibilities- Deliver best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, and promote Game Stop products and programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and visual merchandising that encourages impulse buying.
- Process purchases, returns and gift cards accurately using the POS system.
- Assist the store manager with the development of guest‑service standards and provide on‑the‑job training for new associates.
- Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and support coaching and performance improvement.
- Ensure all store areas, including restrooms, are clean and fully merchandised in line with company standards.
- Manage inventory: stock shelves, perform daily counts, reconcile cash and bank deposits, and protect the store’s assets.
- Handle payroll, time‑off requests, and other administrative tasks in Workday/HR systems.
- Adhere to company policies, opening/closing procedures, and safety protocols.
- Support store sales and profit targets and report on key metrics.
- U.S. citizen/non‑citizen with lawful work authorization; proof of identity required.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or a related field preferred.
- At least 6 months of retail management experience and 2 years of retail sales or guest‑service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual or Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic mathematics.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Outgoing, customer‑service oriented personality.
- Effective coaching and performance management.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Basic inventory and loss‑prevention knowledge.
- Team player who can also work independently.

CompensationStandard hourly rate: $22.04 – $26.04.
