The Retail Attendant is responsible for assisting all guests with purchases, helping them locate and decide on needed items.

Monday - Friday, 10am - 6:00pm, Full time

• Provide a warm welcome to our internal and external guests.
• Promote sales by using suggestive selling techniques.
• Operates cash register and credit card machine to take money and make change.
• Unpacking and tagging all merchandise that is for re-sale.
• Checks shelves and processes inventory.
• Keep store rooms clean and well organized.
• Re-stock merchandise for sale as needed.

Education/Formal Training

High school education or equivalent experience.

Experience

Prior experience in a cash handling position. Three months or more of retail/sales related experience is preferred

Knowledge/Skills

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must have exceptional organization skills

• Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying
  -lift inventory, boxes up to 40 lbs
• Bending/kneeling
  -bending required to stock and clean the shop; kneeling required to assist in inventory and guest service.
• Mobility
  -needs to be able to move around shop to assist guest, stock merchandise, control loss, dust all areas of the shop, vacuum the shop, reach high hanging merchandise.
• Continuous standing
  -clerk will stand behind the register as the posted perch area, when not assisting guests on the floor or conducting inventory/cleaning duties.
• Climbing stairs of approximately 1 step 50% of 8 hour shift; climbing ladders of approximately 6 feet 30% of 8 hour shift.

Environment

Work inside 95% shift.
