Position Overview

As a Demand and Inventory Planner, you will be responsible for managing the inventory levels and ensuring the availability of products at our stores. You will work closely with our suppliers, store managers, and sales team to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels to meet customer needs. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies to ensure optimal stock levels at all stores
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer demand to forecast product demand
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate pricing
  • Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to avoid stock shortages or overstocking
  • Work closely with store managers to understand sales trends and adjust inventory accordingly
  • Coordinate with the sales team to develop promotional strategies and manage inventory for seasonal and promotional products
  • Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory and develop strategies to minimize waste
  • Generate reports and provide insights on inventory levels, sales trends, and product performance

    Continuously improve inventory management processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in demand and inventory planning, preferably in the retail industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices and inventory management techniques
  • Experience with forecasting and demand planning tools is a plus
