Position: Retail Keyholder (Store 1700)

Overview

Join Game Stop as a Retail Keyholder (Store 1700) and help create memorable gaming experiences in a fast‑paced retail environment. You’ll support store management, engage customers, and maintain a clean, organized store.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, promote Game Stop benefits, and express gratitude for every visit.
  • Support the overall shopping environment: maintain visual merchandising, keep restrooms and fixtures clean, and ensure products are accessible.
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest questions promptly and courteously.
  • Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits such as the reservation and Pro Rewards programs.
  • Complete Omni‑Channel orders and maintain accurate inventory controls, bank deposits, and closeout procedures.
  • Support store management in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; supervise and delegate tasks to associates in the absence of management.
Qualifications
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • At least 18 years old and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of retail sales, guest service, or management experience (preferred).
  • Video game knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store for up to 10 hours per day.

  • Fast‑paced, adaptable work style and ability to meet performance expectations.
  • Operate the POS computer system and complete required paperwork.
  • Basic math skills and alphabetizing skills.
  • Self‑motivation and teamwork to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Problem solving and judgment abilities.
  • Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
  • Deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays (minimum 3 days/week availability).
  • Perform physical tasks: bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift up to 30 lbs, and stand/move throughout the store for up to 10 hours per day.
