Lab Technician – Food Science & Innovation

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Technician to support a dynamic Food Science and Product Innovation team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands‑on experience in food research, product formulation, and laboratory operations.

In this role, you will assist in bringing new food concepts to life by supporting experiments, scaling formulas, maintaining lab quality standards, and ensuring efficient day‑to‑day operations. You’ll work alongside an experienced team of food scientists and product developers in a collaborative, learning‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support research and development projects through formula preparation, scaling, and product testing, including sensory evaluations.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and preparing for lab work to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Maintain organized records of formulations, test results, and observations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Oversee lab inventory, cleanliness, and sample shipments to maintain an efficient work environment.
  • Conduct routine quality checks and assist with analytical testing to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with scientists and developers to execute experiments, collect data, and provide operational support.
  • Contribute to process improvements and lab efficiency initiatives as the team grows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time‑management skills.
  • Familiarity with basic lab techniques, measurements, and equipment operation.
  • Effective communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a fast‑paced product development environment.
