We serve as Fund Manager for the Community Solutions Large Cities Housing Funds I & II. These funds raise capital from socially-minded investors and acquire existing multifamily properties in cities across the country. Once acquired, 50% of units are dedicated to workforce housing and 50% serve as permanent supportive housing for veterans experiencing homelessness.

About the RoleBDP Impact Real Estate is seeking an Asset Manager in the western United States to join our mission-driven team managing two $150M real estate funds dedicated to ending veteran homelessness. In this role, you'll oversee a portfolio of multifamily properties where 50% of units provide quality workforce housing and 50% serve as permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness (with a focus on veterans).
This is a unique opportunity to combine sophisticated real estate asset management with meaningful social impact. You will have direct responsibility for the financial performance, operational excellence, and mission outcomes of your properties—ensuring that strong returns and veteran housing go hand-in-hand.
- Develop and execute annual strategic business plans for each property, including leasing strategies, expense management, capital project execution, and veteran housing placement goals
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and key performance metrics, including mission-specific housing outcomes
- Conduct quarterly site visits to assess property condition, management effectiveness, capital needs, and local market dynamics
- Prepare and submit required lender and investor reports on schedule
- Monitor compliance deadlines and maintain accurate records to ensure all assets comply with applicable regulations, loan agreements, and affordability restrictions
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with property managers, supportive service providers, and community partners to advance both asset performance and resident outcomes
- Support annual property and fund valuation processes by performing internal valuations and managing third-party appraisers
- Lead due diligence work streams on new acquisitions
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in multifamily asset management, finance, or analytical real estate roles
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with strong grasp of complex financial concepts
- Proficiency with property management accounting software (Yardi, App Folio, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Demonstrated interest in mission-driven work
- Experience with affordable housing programs, regulatory compliance, or mission-driven real estate
- Graduate degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- Familiarity with supportive housing models or veteran services
- Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to take ownership of your work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience
