Hiring Range- $23.50 - $24.25 per hour

The QC Lead oversees daily inbound inspection operations, ensures execution of Regal’s quality standards, supports QC inspectors, and manages first‑level issue resolution. This role maintains inspection flow, enforces documentation accuracy, supports retroactive inspections, and escalates significant quality or engineering concerns to the Quality Manager.
Daily Operations- Assign inspection tasks and balance workload based on inbound receiving schedule.
- Monitor inspection throughput and ensure daily priorities are met.
- Maintain organization and 5S of the QC area.
- Perform daily inspections.
- Enforce proper use of sampling plans, defect codes, inspection tools, and photo evidence.
- Review QC inspectors’ worksheet entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with current SOPs and inspection criteria.
- Serve as first‑level reviewer for unclear or borderline defects.
- Distinguish between visual, cosmetic, dimensional, functional, and packaging issues.
- Escalate recurring issues, fit/function failures, engineering tolerance deviations, and supplier‑related concerns to the Quality Manager.
- Prepare weekly summaries of inspection output and key issues for the Quality Manager.
- Coordinate staging, quarantines, scrap handling, and rework with receiving and warehouse staff.
- Lead containment activities for suspect or defective inventory.
- Execute retroactive inspection plans and document results.
The ideal candidate will be able to work quickly and independently. Two or more years of quality control experience is required. Other qualifications include:
- Experience supervising and training new employees.
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.
- Able to make decisions under defined QC criteria and escalate appropriately.
- Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) is a huge plus.
