SQA Services is seeking a highly experienced Level III PCBA Inspector to support a Managed Source Inspection Program for our aerospace/defense customer. The inspector will execute detailed in-process and final inspections of electronic assemblies—including Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and flight modules—at the Supplier’s facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive in-process and final source inspections per drawings and specifications.
- Conduct visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections using calibrated tools.
- Apply J-STD-001 Space Addendum requirements to evaluate workmanship.
- Interpret complex GD&T requirements accurately.
- Utilize Buyer inspection guides to ensure thorough deficiency detection.
- Release only conforming product; elevate nonconformances.
- Conduct witness inspections of critical features.
- Audit supplier execution to approved inspection plans.
- Validate justifications for parts not inspected at final inspection.
- Compile complete inspection packages including sign-offs and dimensional data.
- Document all nonconformances with supporting evidence.
- Maintain accurate records aligned to AS9100/ISO
9001 requirements. - Serve as the primary on-site inspection representative for SQA.
- Coordinate inspection readiness with supplier teams.
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally.
- Maintain J-STD-001 Space Addendum certification.
- Participate in training and SOP alignment efforts.
- Identify trends and systemic issues for process improvement.
- Support inspection scheduling for 113 articles.
- Review drawings, travelers, and change notices prior to inspection.
- Align activities with SQA Program Management and Buyer technical leadership.
- 10+ years electronic inspection experience.
- Current J-STD-001 with Space Addendum certification.
- Strong GD&T interpretation skills.
- Proficiency with precision dimensional inspection tools.
- Excellent communication and documentation ability.
- Aerospace/defense high-reliability hardware experience.
- Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO
9001.
$36 - $42 an hour
