Who We Are

Sploot Veterinary Care is a new kind of veterinary clinic, blending Surgery, Urgent Care, and General Practice to provide pets with high-quality care when they need it. We were founded by compassionate individuals who wanted to rewrite the rules of vet med — prioritizing our team’s well-being as much as our patients’.

Our Denver clinics are tech-forward and innovative (we use tools like CoVET AI Scribe for medical notes and offer laparoscopic surgery as a modern, minimally invasive option). Our culture is all about collaboration, learning, growth, and fun. We’re building the future of vet care, and we want you to be a part of it!

Why You’ll Love Working at Sploot

  • Diverse Caseload (Urgent + Primary) – Handle everything from vaccines and puppy checks to stabilizing minor emergencies. Learn every day and use the full range of your skills.
  • No Overnights or On-Call – Ever – We’re open 8am-8pm, 7 days/week, but we don’t do overnights. Predictable 4‑day work weeks. No more 2 AM phone calls, no swing shifts ending at midnight.
  • Team & Culture – Work in a clinic where everyone has your back. High staff‑to‑doctor ratio so you’re never overwhelmed. Collaborative medicine where your input is valued.
  • Purpose & Impact – Every treatment you assist contributes to a larger purpose of setting a new standard in veterinary medicine.

Day in the Life (Job Duties)

  • Surgery & Anesthesia Support – Prepping patients, placing IVs, inducing anesthesia, monitoring vitals, maintaining sterile technique, assisting in soft tissue and laparoscopic surgeries, and overseeing recovery and pain control.
  • Dental Procedures & Radiographs – Cleaning and polishing teeth, taking full‑mouth dental X‑rays, and supporting overall oral health.
  • Technical & Diagnostic Skills – Running lab work, administering medications, performing radiographs, managing wound care, and overseeing post‑op monitoring.
  • Workflow & Organization – Maintaining accurate medical records (with help from our AI scribe), restocking, organizing instruments, prepping packs, and ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized.
  • Client Education & Support – Helping pet parents understand surgical plans, anesthesia safety, post‑op instructions, and home care.
  • Culture Champion – Embody our values of Accountability, Teamwork, and Solution‑Focus. Mentor assistants and contribute to a positive, supportive clinic environment.

  • Credentialed Vet Tech in Colorado – Certified/Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) with a current Colorado license (or eligibility).
  • Experience – At least 1 year of clinical vet tech experience. Emergency/urgent care experience is a huge plus, but not required.
  • Team Player Attitude – Thrive in a team setting, communicate well, and are willing to jump in wherever needed. “No ego – all care.”
  • Efficient & Proactive – Eye for improving processes, organized in a sometimes‑hectic environment, juggling multiple tasks while paying attention to details.
  • Compassion & Passion – Love what you do, handle pets with gentle care, treat clients with respect, and driven by the desire to make things better.
  • Bonus – Experience in emergency/critical care, dentistry, anesthesia, or any advanced skills.
