You’ll support patrons during emotionally challenging moments, gather intake information, and assist in animal evaluations, vaccinations, and care. Provide assistance and compassionate care to patrons relinquishing animals to the shelter. Process animal intakes and/or evaluations to determine next steps for placement.

• Delivery high-level customer service to the organization’s patrons
• Provide daily animal relinquishment and stray intake services
• Interview patrons to gather information to create animal records in Chameleon database
• Manage emotionally difficult situations with strong communication skills
• Prepare and reconcile statements of daily financial transactions
• Provide end-of-life care for animals at their owner’s request
• Safely handle, restrain, and move animals
• Administer vaccinations and preventative medications
• Process animal evaluations to assess health and behavior
• Clean and sanitize evaluation and intake areas
• Perform euthanasia and related tasks.

$20.00 - $20.90 per hour
+ $1.00 per hour Spanish Language Differential (starting pay commensurate with market, experience, and equity)
