PM & R PA - AHMG Orthopedics & Spine at Porter
Job Description:Advent Health Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care, support and education to patients and their families through all aspects of their physical medicine and rehabilitation process. The PA will participate as a key member of the Orthopedic and Spine team to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient. We are looking for someone who utilizes a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach to the patient/family's care, serving as an expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher in the inpatient, operative, and outpatient settings.
Application Requirements :Please include a CV with your application - NO NEW GRADS at this time. Experience must include 2+ years in either neurosurgery or PM & R and 100% Hospital Based.
Principal Duties andJob Responsibilities:
- Assists in seeing both new and return patients
- Conducts rounding on patients and supports physicians with patients in clinic.
- Procedures will include Knee injections, Bursa injections, shoulder injections, trigger point injections, and occipital nerve blocks.
- Consenting for ablations, epidurals, spinal cord stimulator trials, peripheral nerve stimulators, kyphoplasty, and Basi vertebral nerve ablation.
- Assisting with spinal cord stimulator implants in the future
- Orders and interprets test results.
- Hospitalists PA
- Functions as a resource person for individuals with questions regarding their diagnosis or treatment and coordinates the multidisciplinary plan of care.
- Works in collaboration with other APPs and physicians using established and approved protocols as required by institutional policy.
- Effectively uses time, personnel, equipment and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective delivery of patient care.

Required:
- Master's degree (Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program)
- 2+ years in either neurosurgery or PM & R
- Basic surgical experience
- Pain Management experience preferred
- Opioid management experience preferred
- Spinal cord stimulator implant experience preferred
Required:
- Certification by N.C.C.P.A.
- Active physician assistant license by the state of Colorado
