At Heights Care and Rehab, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support nursing leadership, oversee clinical operations, and help ensure safe, compliant, and resident-centered care. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys mentoring staff, supporting systems, and being actively involved in day-to-day nursing operations.

You will work closely with the Director of Nursing, nursing managers, and interdisciplinary team to maintain clinical excellence and operational consistency.

Work Schedule

Full-time (schedule may include some weekends or on-call rotation as needed)

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the DON in overseeing all nursing operations and clinical services
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and clinical guidance/education to nursing staff
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and coverage coordination
  • Monitor compliance with facility policies, CMS regulations, and state requirements
  • Participate in investigations, audits, and corrective action planning
  • Support care planning, clinical documentation, and change-in-condition follow-up
  • Assist with staff education, competency validation, and performance management
  • Serve as a resource to staff, residents, families, and providers
  • Act as DON designee when assigned
Requirements / Education / Experience
  • Active Colorado RN license in good standing
  • Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support nursing staff effectively
  • Professional, calm, and solutions-oriented leadership style
