Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - MIDC Procedures

Overview

National Jewish Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Center (MIDC), an outpatient endoscopy unit specializing in pulmonary and gastrointestinal procedures. This position offers a dynamic and fulfilling environment with a focus on teamwork, flexibility, and work/life balance.

The MIDC operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with no weekend or holiday shifts required.

Responsibilities
  • Providing patient care in pre-op, post-op, and procedural settings
  • Circulating during endoscopic procedures to support physicians and ensure patient safety
  • Assisting with motility testing and specialized diagnostic procedures
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, patient-centered clinic
  • Contributing to a supportive environment that emphasizes quality, communication, and continuous learning
  • Collects and analyzes pertinent data and information relative to the patient’s needs; demonstrates proficient assessment of patient problems
  • Analyzes assessment data to determine problems and communicates concerns to the provider
  • Identifies outcomes in a plan of care individualized for the patient and reflects diverse patient needs
  • Collaborates with providers and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth inpatient or procedural workflows
  • Provides professional nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
  • Facilitates appropriate medical care, carries out provider orders, and documents care in EMR
  • Provides patient education tailored to the individual
  • Completes and maintains competence in the assigned area
  • Participates in projects, activities, and committees related to nursing and health care
  • Participates in evidence-based practice and research strategies to advance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes
  • Participates as a member of the hospital’s Code Blue response team as needed
Position Details

Location: National Jewish Health - Main Campus

Department: Nursing - MIDC

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Work Experience: None
  • Special Training, Certification or Licensure: Current Colorado RN License required. Current BLS certification required upon hire. ACLS and PALS certifications required within 45 days of hire. Certification in a relevant specialty preferred.

Salary Range: $34.00 - $48.62
