Job Summary
Denver Health is recruiting for an intermittent/PRN Neonatal Advanced Care provider to join our Neonatology Division. Under general supervision, provides care of infants in Neonatal Intensive Care and Well Baby Nursery, including follow-up planning. Functions as advanced care provider support during day and night for neonatal resuscitations and care of NICU and Well Baby Nursery patients. Performs procedures with residents. Teaches medical, physician assistant and nursing students and pediatric and family medicine residents.
May perform administrative support functions as required. Participates in and leads programmatic initiatives in the NICU and Nursery.
- Direct Patient Care in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Well Baby Nursery including follow-up planning.
- Completes required chart documentation legibly, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.
- Participates in night call along with pediatric residents.
- Responsible for delivery room resuscitations and care of patients in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
- Assists residents with procedures.
- Attends and participates in administrative staff meetings.
- Participates in Denver Health initiatives including RIEs and Committees.
- Teaches medical students, physician assistant students and nursing students, as well as pediatric and family medicine residents in NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
