Advanced Practice Provider for Cardiology – Denver, CO

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Cardiology Clinic at Saint Joseph Hospital. The selected candidate will work with 4 other APPs who partner with 8 general cardiologists and interventional cardiologists, including one specialist in vascular medicine to help deliver exceptional care to cardiology patients in both inpatient and outpatient setting. Our practice also includes physicians and APPs specializing in heart failure, electrophysiology, and structural heart, working collaboratively.

• You would practice at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado
• You would work 4 ten hour shifts during the weekdays outpatient and inpatient, no call / no weekends
• Rounding on general and interventional cardiology patients at Saint Joseph Hospital
• Includes pre procedure work ups for CATH cases
• Remove pericardial drains, temporary pacemakers when needed
• When rounding is complete, handle follow ups in the clinic and supervise outpatient treadmill
• Manageable volume with the opportunity to work with complex cardiology and vascular patients

• We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program, required
• Valid license/certification as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Colorado or able to obtain, required
• DEA and prescriptive authority, required
• BLS and ACLS, required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working as an NP or PA in a cardiology setting, required
