Location: Denver, CO (covers HCA Health One Swedish and HCA Health One Sky Ridge; focuses on GYN oncology patients.)

Schedule: Exempt position, Monday through Friday 8 am–5 pm.

Job Summary & Qualifications

As an Oncology Nurse Navigator, you function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and serve as an advocate and educator for cancer patients from diagnosis through the end of active treatment. You will ensure that patients remain compliant with their treatment plans by building relationships with patients and physicians, coordinating the plan of care, providing education and resource provision, and representing patients within the multidisciplinary care environment.

You will also assume responsibility for the efficient management of resources to achieve high‑quality patient outcomes, including support with interdisciplinary and cross‑facility coverage and collaboration.

What you will do in this role
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with local physician liaisons and leadership to conduct internal and external outreach and marketing when appropriate.
  • Act as a patient advocate from diagnosis to the end of active treatment.
  • Assess patients’ medical, social and psychosocial needs/barriers to care and link them to appropriate resources.
  • Provide appropriate teaching, outreach and support to patients and families, empowering them to manage their own healthcare needs.
  • Conduct follow‑up conversations with patients and communicate any concerns, changes or social needs to the appropriate physician or other care providers.
What you will need in this role
  • Three to five years of oncology nursing experience.
  • Experience in program development (preferred).
  • Experience as a nurse navigator and/or patient educator in oncology (preferred).
  • Experience in leadership and customer service (preferred).
Education
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) achieved or in progress (preferred).
