RN Coordinator – HCA Healthcare

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated RN Coordinator to play a critical role in managing patient transfers, coordinating ambulance services, and ensuring seamless communication across HCA facilities.

• Coordinate direct admissions and hospital transfers to appropriate HCA Division hospitals.
• Manage ambulance transfers from HCA Division hospitals to other facilities and post‑acute care providers.
• Respond to all transfer and transport calls in a customer‑centric call center using electronic database and approved clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with on‑call physicians regarding patient care issues and advise when appropriate.
• Work with HCA facilities to manage internal and external patient movements and bed assignments.
• Gather and document clinical data to ensure proper placement, transfer facilitation, and accurate communication.
• Resolve placement issues by communicating with physicians and external facilities, applying problem‑solving skills.
• Collect, monitor, evaluate, and analyze transfer data to develop and implement protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain excellent customer relationship skills with physicians, office staff, nurses, vendors, and fellow employees.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).
• Current RN license in the state(s) where the HCA facility is located; multi‑state license required when transfer center covers more than one state (may be obtained upon hire).

• 12‑hour shifts (required).
• Flexibility in scheduling (required).
• Rotating weekends (required).
• Holiday shifts (required).

Must live within 60 miles of a Patient Logistics Center facility – locations include Madison, TN;
Richmond, VA;
Jacksonville, FL;
Tamarac, FL;
Plano, TX;
Denver, CO.
