Overview
Clinical Nurse Coordinator CV CCU at HCA Health
ONE Rocky Mountain Children’s. The role supports patient-centered care, quality improvement, and nursing leadership in the CCU setting.
- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
- Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Supports the facility’s current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, and performance evaluations.
- Assists with staff scheduling and manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Supports adequate inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
- Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certification.
- BSN preferred; graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Four or more years of clinical practice in a critical care setting and preferred leadership/management experience.
- Demonstrated clinical and leadership competency, commitment to staffing matrix/productivity standard, and focus on patient safety and positive patient experience.
- Strong organizational skills, safe patient care, judgment, superior problem solving, and professional communication with all customers.
