Location:
Denver, Colorado | Pay: $35-52 / hr
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in Denver. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and utilize your specialized nursing skills to serve various patient age groups, including adults, adolescents, geriatrics, and pediatrics. As a vital member of our surgical team, you will ensure smooth and efficient procedures in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly functioning.
- Assist with the post-procedure workflow, including cleaning the OR, organizing unused supplies, and setting up for subsequent procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
- Supervise, teach, and mentor staff members based on their competency level, ensuring the effective delegation of tasks.
- Rotate to other departments as needed, performing duties aligned with your skill set and competencies.
- Licensure:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Colorado or an active multi-state RN license. - Education:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). - Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a perioperative (OR) setting is required. - Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. - Certification:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (required within 6 months of hire). - Certification: CNOR certification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to rotate to other units and perform various duties as needed.
