This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center by optimizing the quality of life of all those served. The Adult Infusion Center RN oversees and directs the care of patients with hematologic/oncologic diagnoses in the outpatient setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assesses, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for patients needing intravenous treatments or cellular therapeutic procedures.
• Determines and performs venipuncture cannulation to administer intravenous therapy.
• Provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous therapy.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate RN license.
• BLS – Healthcare provider.
• ONS chemotherapy provider card required within the first 6 months of hire.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.

• One year experience in acute care or an infusion center preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members.
• Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively to ensure quality patient care.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Chemotherapy Certification preferred.
